Sam began his mining and chemical career in 1987 with Nalco Chemical.  He served in numerous sales and management roles with Nalco through 1999.  

In 1999, he joined Custom Chemicals as their sales manager focusing in phosphate and industrial minerals.  In 2003, Custom merged with ArrMaz and he managed the company's industrial minerals and specialty tolling activities. 

Presently Sam heads the Industrial Minerals Technologies and Water Treatment business units, with global responsibilities for AMCC activities in numerous mining, mineral processing, oil field, sulfurized compounds, water treatment and tolling operations.

Sam is a 1986 graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering and he obtained his MBA from the University of South Florida in 2004.  Sam and his wife Karyn have three daughters and reside in Lithia, Florida.
